24 hours underwater, for the children fighting cancer
On 18 and 19 September 2026, at 12:00, Sotiris Barbarosos attempts to surpass the standing world record for underwater walking in 24 hours.
The attempt
Twenty-four continuous hours below the surface, targeting more than 21 kilometres. An official attempt on the world record for the longest continuous underwater walk.
Who it is for
The attempt is dedicated to the children fighting cancer and to their families. Every wish left on this site is read aloud during the attempt.
Where and when
Starting Friday 18 September 2026 at 12:00 and finishing Saturday 19 September at 12:00. 52nd kilometre of the Athens–Sounio Avenue, Anavyssos – P. Fokaia (Municipality of Saronikos). It would be a joy and an honour to have you there — at the start, and even more so at the finish.
