Starting from Ermioni, Sotiris crossed Greece on his bike, passing through dozens of cities and villages. By his side were citizens, schools, local organizations and municipalities, who welcomed the “messenger of Hope” with emotion and warm love.

His course included stops in places such as Arta, Itea, Thebes, Kalambaka and Tripoli, as well as many more municipalities that actively supported his message.

The finish took place at the “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis – ELPIDA” Children’s Oncology Unit, where Sotiris symbolically delivered his message to the children and their families.

The “1,200 Kilometers of Hope” mission aimed to highlight the importance of prevention, awareness and support for children with cancer, and to honor the little heroes who fight their own battle every day.

Sotiris’ route traced the “golden ribbon” across the map — the international symbol of the fight against childhood cancer — turning the geography of Greece into a symbol of love and strength.

Throughout the journey, Sotiris met people of every age who stood by his side, showing that hope and humanity know no borders.

Through his cycling effort, he proved that when a person moves with a clear purpose, they can inspire an entire society to move with them.

Every kilometer, every stop, every smile along the way was a step toward a Greece that is more informed, more aware, more human.

Known for his tireless work and his love for people, Sotiris Barbarosos does not chase recognition but the mark he leaves behind.

The 1,200-kilometer journey was an act of soul, a tribute to the children who fight, and an invitation to everyone to stand by them in their struggle.
